Hunter (Hunters Hitale)

Small dogs OK - no kitties please
Hunter was adopted
out in September 2007 (in another state) along with his grey
friend, Cody. Several weeks back, he was dropped off at
the Dillon Humane Society in Montana because his owners were moving and
were not able to take their dogs with them. Hunter is at our kennel
in Victor and is hoping for a new family who has no cats and is ready
for a fun loving boy who knows all about the rules of
retirement and the joy of family life.

Cody was adopted out

Pokey
Pokey is nine year old gentleman who had a family
of his own until recently. As the story goes, his owner left him
with a friend for a "short time" and then decided not to come back.
We got the call asking if we'd take him. Naturally, we said "yes".
He is now in a foster home where he settled right in
(being an old hand at retirement), took up residence on the first soft
bed he found, ignored the cat, and is perfectly content.
If you're looking for an easy boy to bring into your
home, and an easy boy to love, think about adding Pokey to your pack.
As you can see from his picture, he is full of personality and charm and
has no problem at all with other dogs. |

San Tan Flipflop
DOB: May 7, 2002
No kitties please
Flipflop was returned to us today after a brief stay
in a home that just wasn't a good fit for her - so she's a "lady in
waiting again".
Her racing career spanned 3 years, during which she
ran 103 races at Derby Lane. She retired in June 2006. She
whelped in May 2008 and was then offered a retirement package (no more
racing, no more puppies and a bus ticket to Montana) and she jumped at
the chance! She's a laid back gal who's looking forward to her
next adventure with a family she can finally call her own. She's
sure earned it!

This beautiful red fawn
girl has striking dark markings and perfect eye makeup. She is
certain to draw a crowd at the meet and greets! She was in a
foster home before coming to Montana and did very well She is friendly but not an
in-your-face gal. Very sweet. |

April has an enthusiasm for life that's absolutely delightful. She's
a petite little sprite who loves stuffies, fun and people (most
especially kids)!
If you want a cuddle pup - please think long and hard about April.

Buster is a delightful
combination of gentle and playful. He will make you laugh with his
silliness as he romps around the yard with a toy. The next moment
he will be at your side (or between your legs!) to give and receive
love. Be prepared to lose your heart to this guy.

"Molly" (Hot Girl)

This girl has 166 races registered and is cat safe.
She is very sweet, full of energy (even for an older girl) and was
brought home to have pups but she never had any. Molly
is currently in a foster home and we are receiving regular
updates from her wonderful foster parents, Jan & Dean. Here's the
latest:
3/14/10 - Yesterday was our city's St. Patrick's Day
parade, and Molly did fantastic and enjoyed strutting in front of all
the crowds. After the parade we all met out in the country at Annie
Lambert's, and Molly really enjoyed socializing with 47 greyhounds and
their people, and running in the open field. She is such a love muffin,
and won the hearts of everyone she nuzzled.
Molly's table manners are getting better, and her potty
training has clicked. Her leash manners are always a joy, and she just
can't get enough of our jogs/walks on the golf course. She still shows
little interest in the kitties, and had no problems with the many small
dogs that were out at the parade. Molly has become completely relaxed,
and has our routine figured out, and if she's awake, she's either
collecting stuffys, patrolling the neighborhood through the big living
room window, or nuzzling Jan or I for a neck rub! When she's napping she
chases rabbits and squirrels and is quite the roacher! She is sure a
happy girl.
